Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on yo

Why inspire?

The answer is purely psychological. According to Psychology Today, by the time a child reaches the age of 18, the concept of "No, you can't!" has been reinforced 187,000 times, whereas the concept of "Yes, you can!" has been reinforced only about 25 - 30 times. With this in mind, is it any wonder why so many people grow up to be failures... or less than successful?  Today's society 'programs' us this way.  We simply do not "believe" we can win. In order to be truly successful financially, emotionally and spiritually, you've got to be passionate about what you are doing.  Talent is a gift, but it must first be discovered, then nurtured and developed.  Once this passion grows into a highly trained skill, you become an extremely knowledgeable, a highly sought and highly paid specialist. "The more wisdom we know, the more we may earn. Those who seek to learn more of their craft shall be richly rewarded." -- George S. Cla

Commenting

If you would like to make a comment or insert a remark in an ongoing conversation, it is polite to  acknowledge what someone has just said before stating your own ideas. Some phrases  That's interesting. I think that... Interesting point. I would add... Hmmm. I hadn't thought of that before. Questions can also be a useful way of bringing new ideas into a conversation: What do you think about . . . Have you considered . . . What about . . . Sometimes a more direct approach is appropriate: Can I add something here? (Do you) mind if I interject something here?

God's Rosebud

It is only a tiny rosebud,
 A flower of God's design;
 But I cannot unfold the petals With these clumsy hands of mine.

 The secret of unfolding flowers
 Is not known to such as I.
 GOD opens this flower so easily,
 But in my hands they die. If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
 This flower of God's design,
 Then how can I have the wisdom
 To unfold this life of mine?

 So, I'll trust in God for leading
 Each moment of my day. I will look to God for guidance In each step along the way. The path that lies before me, Only my Lord and Savior knows. I'll trust God to unfold the moments,
 Just as He unfolds the rose.
